SERVICES
Metamorphosis Mentoring is able to provide tutoring anywhere.
If you are in or around central Virginia, tutoring can happen at your home, school, local library, or coffee shop. If not, tutoring sessions can happen over Skype! Many clients who are even in the area prefer to meet over Skype as it works into their schedule better.
ACADEMIC tutoring
Personalized subject instruction offered in Math, English, Science, and History for grades K-12, including some college level courses.
academic coaching - TUTORING PLUS
A more comprehensive approach to Academic Tutoring which includes instruction in organizational help, study skills, analytical thinking and information processing. This also includes tutor-teacher interaction throughout the year.
SAT/ACT Tutoring
Personalized tutoring addressing the Math, Critical Reading, Science and Writing sections of the Standardized Tests. Includes diagnostic testing and an individual approach to increasing scores.
College Counseling
Includes, but not limited to: Personalized guidance with selection of colleges, help with selection of High School courses, help establishing a test schedule for Standardized Tests, monitoring application calendar to make sure deadlines are met, common app and regular application assistance, interview prep and application essay coaching.
TUTORING PLUS + SAT/ACT TUTORING + COLLEGE COUNSELING
Tutoring Plus package combined with all the services listed above for college counseling and standardized test tutoring.

Tory founded Metamorphosis Mentoring to create a company devoted to working through and within the strengths of each student; by identifying her client's best learning style and coaching them to learn in their best light, she can help them to excel in almost any discipline.
She believes in learning and teaching from points of genuine interest for each student, not formulaic, testing-centric methods. She also believes that every individual has the capacity to overcome their academic struggle if they are able to recognize their strengths and work through them. Moreover, she understands that education requires a diverse support network and she works to ensure that each child has a multi-faceted network to bolster their scholastic progress.
Tory specializes in teaching others how to work smarter, not harder, improving study/organizational skills, and is able to work with an extensive range of subjects, specializing in Math. She earned her B.A. in Economics with a Business Concentration in 1997 and has over a 15 years of teaching experience.
